I have a BSc degree in biology from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro
– UNIRIO, MSc degree in Marine Ecology at Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF and
I am a Ph.D. candidate in ecology at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ. My
main interest is to investigate how environmental gradients influences the structure of reef
fish community that are active at night.

In addition to the activities of my PhD thesis, I work with parrotfishes at night at Arraial do
Cabo – Rio de Janeiro, doing visual census and observing behaviors of fishes from this
family at night. The focus of this research it is to give insights to conservation of those
species.
