I have a Bsc degree in Oceanography from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro
(UERJ) and currently I’m a Msc. candidate in Ecology at University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
My main interests are ecology and energy flux at reef systems. Using the Metabolic Theory
of Ecology (MTE), my research aims to understand the role played by territorial damselfish,
Stegastes fuscus, in nutrients and energy flux on the system. In addition, by modeling the
herbivorous pressure of this fish population in Arraial do Cabo / RJ, I can predict how this
could change in different climatic scenarios.
I also organize and support scientific divulgation and environmental awareness actions,
due to the importance of environmental education in structuring more sustainable societies.
