I have an MSc degree in Marine Ecology from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2020).
During my graduate work, I applied an simple methodology to investigate patterns of
distribution of sea turtles across environmental gradients in Arraial do Cabo. This study
gives a set of recommendations on how to conduct reliable surveys of sea turtles at shallow
foraging areas. The data raised is essential to national conservation efforts, such as
management strategies and the spatial prioritization of critical foraging areas.
My research focus on reef systems, animal behaviour, ecology of sea turtles. Alongside, I
collaborate in a citizen-science project (Mar de Tartaruga) to investigate sea turtle residency.
I also have a particular interest in scientific communication, Environmental Education and
empowerment of the youth.
